• Data ingestion, and storage: We will explore how to discover and stream data into Microsoft Fabric from various sources, including Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, CDC streaming, Storage events, and custom apps. You will learn how to process data in Eventstreams, route it to storage locations like Eventhouse (KQL database) or Lakehouse, and work with derived streams for advanced data processing.
• Analytics and monitoring: We will cover alerting and actions using Reflex items, creating real-time dashboards in Power BI for reporting, and utilizing Copilot for KQL queries to streamline data analysis and enhance decision-making.

3. Hands-on Lab setup (30 minutes)

• Set up workspace and overview of settings to enable real-time items.
• Connecting to simulated data.

Afternoon Session (3 Hours)

4. Building the end-to-end solution (150 minutes)

• Data streaming: we will cover the process of setting up a real-time data stream from a simulated source, processing and aggregating the data in Eventstream, creating a derived stream, and writing the data to the Eventhouse KQL database for further analysis.
• Data Cleaning & Preparation: Set up transformations in the Eventhouse KQL database.
• Reporting and Analytics: we will guide you through building a Power BI report connected to the KQL database, creating a real-time dashboard, leveraging Copilot for KQL queries, and querying data using SQL to gain valuable insights.
• Alerting and actions: We will create a Reflex item to monitor data in real time and setup notifications.
