Nagios is an open-source monitoring system for computer systems. It was basically designed to run on the Linux operating system and can monitor devices running Linux, Windows, and Unix Operating Systems.

After that, Run the following command on your VM to use htpasswd to create the user. You will be prompted for a password.

$ sudo htpasswd -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/htpasswd.users nagiosadmin
