Angular is a popular open-source framework developed and maintained by Google, designed for building dynamic, scalable, and high-performance web applications. Released initially in 2010 as AngularJS and later reimagined as Angular (commonly referred to as "Angular 2+" or just "Angular"), it has become one of the most widely used frameworks for creating single-page applications (SPAs).
Angular is built using TypeScript, a superset of JavaScript, which allows developers to write more robust and maintainable code by utilizing static typing and object-oriented programming principles. It provides a component-based architecture where applications are divided into reusable, modular components, which simplifies both development and testing.
One of Angular’s key features is two-way data binding, which synchronizes data between the model and view in real time, allowing for more interactive user interfaces. Additionally, it leverages dependency injection, enhancing the modularity and testability of the code by managing service dependencies efficiently.
Angular also includes a powerful templating system, form handling, comprehensive routing, and HTTP client capabilities for interacting with APIs. Its CLI (Command Line Interface) provides an efficient way to scaffold, manage, and build projects, ensuring best practices and optimized performance out of the box.
