Even though asignificant number of organisations have started their Azure cloud transformation programin the past few years, KPMG often observes that organisations lack the ability to structure its approach and to quickly take advantage of the benefits of the Azure cloud. KPMG can help you to finally take off by asessing your applications landscape.

Phase 1 -Analyse and classify applications ‒ Desk research and documentation analysis of the current IT landscape ‒ (Online) Self-assessments done by business owners and/or IT architects ‒ Evaluation of the value and complexity of migration per application in interviews and/or workshops The output of this phase is a list with the top-10 applications within your landscape based on potential, which is measured consideringmigration complexity and business value that a migration would bring.

Phase 2 -Identify migration strategy for the selected applications

• Determine migration choices per application/cluster of applications for the top-10 applications with most potential to be migrated to the cloud. This is based on the '6R' model (Retain, Rehost, Repurchase, Replatform, Retire, Refactor) through a workshop and/or interviews. The output of this phase is a migration strategy per application/cluster of applications based on the ‘6R’-model for each one of the applications considered as most valuable in the previous phase.

Phase 3 –Developbusiness case

• Develop and fine tune high level business case perapplication/cluster of applications for the top-10 applicationswith most potential to be migrated to the cloud The output of this phase is a high-level business case perapplication/cluster of applications

Phase 4 –Define migration roadmap

• Prioritization of the applications to be migrated to the cloud
• Finalise recommendations and report The output of this phase is a high-level roadmap for the cloud migration and a final integrated report.
